Joe Bowler – Classic American Illustrator
Joe was part of Cooper Studios in NYC starting in the mid 50’s and quickly rose in popularity as an illustrator at the tail-end of the ‘golden age’ of illustration.
Was one of the last illustrators to contribute cover art to major magazines in the late 50s. Moved from illustration to portraits in the 60s, covering first ladies to Miss Americas.
He was inducted into the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame in 1992
